Guess Who Was The First Choice To Judge The Voice India 2 Before Benny Dayal?

Badtameez Dil singer Benny Dayal is one of judges of the second instalment of the singing reality show The Voice India. But here is a little piece of news that you all did not know about.

The channel was very keen on having the singer composer Shekhar Ravjiani for the second instalment of the program.

A source close to Shekhar confirmed the news and said, “Shekhar was always the first choice of the channel and were very keen on having him on board. But before the channel could approach him for the second instalment of the show, he had already accepted the offer from Star Plus for the singing reality show called Dil Hai Hindustani. This left the channel with no option than to scout for options.”

Thus, the channel had to work with Benny Dayal who was available immediately thus they got him on board. Apart from Benny, the panel of judges include Neeti Mohan, Shaan, Salim Merchant. Neeti was seen in The Voice India Kids with Shaan. The Chand Sifarish singer was also seen in the first instalment of the singing reality show with Mika Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan and singer-composer Himesh Reshammiya.

The Voice India was hosted by Karan Tacker. 
 Shaan's mentee Pawandeep Rajan was the first winner, defeating Deepesh Rahi, Parampara Thakur, and Rishabh Chaturvedi in the finale episode.

Due to the huge success of
 The Voice India, in June 2016, &TV announced junior version of the show which featured contestants between the ages of six and fourteen. Sugandha Mishra and Jay Bhanushali hosted the series, while Neeti Mohan, Shaan and Shekhar Ravjiani were the coaches.
